Will
I catch catfish …?
Yes unless your really unlucky. I don't
offer any guarantees to catch or offer any gimmicks, I wont baffle you by
quoting exaggerated catch reports as any respectable angler will know that
there are so many variables involved with catching, available bait, weather,
river conditions and of course the fish themselves. The only guarantees I will
give is to use every thing available from my experience and local knowledge to
put fish in the boat for you even if I have to resort to dynamite.
Which are the best months
to catch …?
The catfishing season is all year and there's not really a best or good month as each
year the conditions on the river can be different and each month creates a
new and different challenge, floods, cold, wind, rain, weed, and of course scorching sun, but for me
these don't create a problem as I know where to find them.
Where
do you catfish …?
On the mighty river Ebro in Catalonia Spain which is situated about 110 miles
south of Barcelona. I focus my
catfishing on the last 40 miles of river before it enters the Mediterranean
sea on the beautiful Costa Dorado, where in my opinion, its fantastic as the banks
have been untouched by man for hundreds of years, and still feature all the natural
elements found in a river, unlike the the river beyond the dams, which are
just like monstrous lakes. Here we have islands, gravel bars with clean shallow fast waters,
back eddies, deep holes, fallen trees and loads of fish, the banks are all tree lined with vast mountain
range back drops which attract a wide variety of wild life.
Do you do carp trips …?
No, I specialising only in catching BIG catfish, we may do some carp fishing from the boat to catch catfish baits.
Will
I have to bring any fishing tackle with me …?
No you don't
have to bring any fishing gear with you unless you're planning on tackling the
river yourself, I supply all the gear and bait for catfishing from my boat.
Do
you dump us on the bank
…?
No I don't just leave you on the bank. All my catfishing tours are fully
inclusive and guided with a boat, the boat allows access to miles of river
that is just not accessible from the bank.
Will
I have to share with other anglers not in my party …?
No the guide and boat is all yours for the day. The only sharing you do is by taking turns with your
family or friends with the catfish takes.
Will
I need to hire a car …?
No if you are flying into Reus airport we can arrange transfer to and from the airport this
will also include transfers to and from your accommodation to the river for
your catfishing tours.
If I choose Reus airport transfers will i have to arrive at an arranged time …?
No, this is a personal service we offer, where we will meet you personally at the airport arrivals terminal at your flight arrival time, then you will be taken directly to the accommodation resort, theirs no hanging around at the airport waiting for your transfer arrive or even worse having to arrive the day before.

No in order to keep my cost

The apartment is only a
short drive from the river which takes approximately 15 minutes.

The nearest airports
are Reus which is 45 miles away and Barcelona which is 110 miles away, both
have excellent road and train links.

supplied on the catfishing boat tours.
